Yesterday we went to the Manaiakalani film festival where we watch other schools films around Panmure and G.I. Yesterday we were with Somerville Special school and were watching their movie. My favourite movie was our movie Te Whare Tapa Wha.

Technology T4W4 2015

Today for Art Technology we were doing Mandala art. Mandala art is a type of art which where you use circles and patterns. Mandala art can be seen anywhere in nature like for example flowers they start from the middle and spread out. My patterns are different to others because some of us used different techniques. WALT reflect on our speeches

Today I did my speech and I got a B I was very happy with this grade. Standing up there was very scary but at the end I was confident.

Thinkers Keys!

WALT think critically.

Today we were doing thinkers keys thinkers keys are activities that cause your brain to think critically. The key that I chose to do was the reverse key. With the reverse key you have to think what a person with d=good sportsmanship would never do. Doing this it will help you think another way instead of thinking what he would usually do.

Technology!

Technology

Today for technology me and Ma'asi were playing a song called "All of me" by John Legend. Ma'asi played piano and I sang the song people were doing many different songs like someone like you by Adele I was kind of nervous to sing in front of everyone. But in the end I did it I was kind of confident to because my back was facing them so I was happy with that. When I finished the feedback made me very happy people said that I had a nice voice. People like Bruce and Pio were surprised that I had a good voice. I like singing in the church choir but when singing with myself I get very nervous. I like singing in front of my mum but in front of others is scary to me. Today I enjoyed technology every minute second and hour.

Today we were learning about apartheid we were talking about protesters and what they did on the Springbok tour. We also read another book called Game Over by David Geary. This book was about what happened at the game and what they did...

They dropped flour bombs and pulled down the goal post.

The question that my teacher asked me was this.

What is your opinion about the tour?

My opinion is that it should have not went on because all the fighting and protesting would have never happened and people would haven't got injured.

Dear Diary

Today I learned about attitude and Nelson Mandela. Nelson Mandela was a famous prisoner and also a famous MP he was a worldwide grandfather to everyone. With attitude I learnt how to be positive not negative and to also think about what we are going to say to people. And to also be confident. Today was a really good day because I learnt a lot of stuff and had a really good time I laughed and smiled. And so on I cant wait for the next day of school.

Library!

Today after interval the Kia manawanui syndicate went to the library to issue some books I haven't read any books for a long time so I was very excited to read one. The library book that I had issued was called a Fabmouse School adventure by Geronimo Stilton. I was really interested in another book called captain underpants (first novel). My book was about a mouse who goes to a show and talent  for his little nephew Benjamin but things don't quite go his way....

White Sunday!

SO in the holidays we Tongans have a church service activity which is called white sunday. White sundays are a activity for children to read bible verses to adults. Every single day me and my cousins have to practise from day to night so its kind of like a jail of bible verses and you cant escape from it like literally you cant escape. But this one was different when we to church we didn't have bible practise and I was so happy. Everytime we go to church the kids just think that the adults are singing but I think more then that when their singing you have to really listen to the lyrics. So its like sing praying your singing but you're praying at the same time. So in between church some people had to get up on the stage and say a few verses.  Sometimes I didn't even know what they were saying. Sometimes we had to stand up and sing to listen to the bible verses that the speaker is saying. after they finish a paragraph or two we all sit down and listen to a story. After church I realized that everyone left accept the people from our church we all had a practise Mainly for like 30 mins but to me it was like 1000 years. We usually get called up to say our bible verses sometimes if we do it right we get a special treat like a little jelly bean for every 10 minutes so thats 3 jelly beans in total. All of my little cousins were so happy to get up on the stage and say their lessoni's (Bible verses) accept me I didn't even know half of mines. When we go up we usually sing a song when were up there. Our white sunday is in May like some others we all have to wear white so respect the one and only Jehovah. After our white sunday's we usually have a big feast to celebrate what the children and adults have done so to all the people who are doing white sundays I shout out the blog post to you.

Misunderstood monsters

There are a lot of different opinions on pit bulls and the misunderstood animals are banned in over 12 countries around the world – but are they the monsters everyone says they are?

Meet “Hulk”, a 76 kg pit bull bred and trained by dark dynasty k9s in America. the business breeds protection dogs for celebrities, billionaires, law enforcements and those living in fear. the breeders, Marlon and Lisa grennan know the danger and power of their dogs but they say that they trust Hulk 100 percent with their 3 year old son.

Dark dynasty k9s train their dogs to be the ultimate form of protection and are trained to attack on command to protect their owners. Marlon and Lisa admit that a dog of Hulk’s size could easily snap a grown man’s arm and yet they are strong believers that no dog is evil, It is simply how they are raised.

Hulk and the rest of the dogs bred by Marlon and Lisa are potentially lethal but they insist that in a home environment the dogs are very gentle and are amazing family dogs. they say that their dogs are raised with love and kindness and their training ensures that they are completely obedient and friendly unless ordered otherwise.

Hulk is almost 3 times bigger than a normal pit bull and it believed to become the biggest pitbull in the world – he is only 17 months old! despite all of this, marlon and lisa trust this huge animal with their young son and Hulk appears to love him just as much as his parents!
